Crank banned him. Hope he'll hang out here. I'm really curious to know what that professor at LIT said. And much more.

Good point. I doubt Crank would have any interest in what happens here. That would be down to the moderators of *this* forum, or the domain owner.

What do you reckon?

Isn't Crank the owner of this forum?

Precisely my point. Not sure if mary is aware of it. I don't think Crank does have any interest in what happens here (less than activity on the Steorn forum I imagine), although if she does, you may all be fucked on that score as well.

Any attempt to encourage people to bombard Meehan with email aside, the simplest thing for interested parties would just be to ask him themselves. You may actually act independently of Al, even mary. It's amazing how many people involved on the Steorn forum will expend energy crying that someone should do something rather than actually doing it.

I am not sure how I would be fucked in this regard. I am not interested in e-mailing anybody about anything.

I meant congregating here for discussion rather than anything specific. As I say, I think she's an even less frequent visitor here than over there.

Still, she isn't thick and I'm sure she will realise that people will come here to get the low down on what went on.

Whether she cares or not is another matter. I would guess she doesn't. After all, she can't chase people all over the Internet.

Curiously enough, by her actions she has given the oxygen of publicity to whatever it is that Al said.

Incidentally, what did go on.? Confused

I can't be bothered to find your post, but ISTR it was self-immolation on your part?

Just checked, he's banned as well. And joshs. Somebodies in a very obliging mood.

I look forward to seeing where you all congregate if it's open to the public.

Was it? The 'letter' post was a bit of light satire that I thought bit at both sides. But perhaps you will tell me that 'inciting' people to write to all thirsty Africans would result in them being hassled ...

FFS, it seems that even having a joke about water pumps will get you banned on the Steorn forum. It's going to become a ghost forum there soon with all the bannings. If one were of the conspiratorial mindset one might think that it's a push by Steorn to supress any dissent about their lack of evidence. Not that I do think that however, I'm just musing.

a push by Steorn to suppress any dissent about their lack of evidence.

If so, it'll become a forum of three with a moderator. Exciting!

I know Crank also owns this forum. If she decides to clamp down on it then let's all meet here:

http://freeenergytracker.blogspot.com/

It's moderated however the moderator is quite liberal. That won't be a permanent solution but maybe someone will set up a new forum. I'll look into it but I doubt that I will have the time.

Actually there are already three "Steorn" groups set up on Google:

http://groups.google.com/group/steorn -- empty

http://groups.google.com/group/steornwatchers -- enthusiasts maybe?

http://groups.google.com/group/steornwatch -- empty

Apparently Steorn's lawyers are too busy to bother noticing these all have "Steorn" in the name. Or Google heard from them and does not give a shit.

Anyway, those are available-- you can always search for Steorn under google groups.

I can be reached through maryyugo *at* yahoo *dot* [remove this] com

I was banned ages ago, and I post occasionally here. It's not as lively as Steorn's forum, but what can I say?

From beyond the whole Irish nation
Comes a pitiful mass migration.
Whom should we all thank?---
None other than Crank,
Who will soon make FizzX a sensation!

Al, just in case you would like an alternative account, you could contact me at gmail.

Edit: but you could also use the situation as a good reason to stop spending all this valuable time on such a blond subject. Stop the habit, and just check the Steorn page once in a while, sometimes forgetting their existence for few months. Sometimes one thinks it would have been much better to have never known about the Jury thing and the Economist advertisement.

Edit 2: you are also invited to mail me the trick behind the OCMMPM.

Edit 3: everybody except evolvedalready has been banned, lets just leave the Steorn forum

There are pages and pages and pages of insults, criticism and dissent all over the forum - it's been an almost total free for all for as long as I can remember. You need to be blind or in a state of total unthinking denial to miss that fact.

Nobody at Steorn cares what happens to the public forum. A mass exodus (bearing in mind there are only a handful of posters anyway) will make absolutely no differerence to anyone other than making everyone who's dissatified with the onerous conditions placed on them a lot happier.

@sean2k
It is unlikely that anyone at Steorn who really knows what's going on has anything on their mind other than how to escape the inevitable charges of fraud which will eventually rain down on them. There's going to be an accounting and unless white collar law enforcement in Ireland is even worse than I think it is, someone is going to account for all those wasted millions of euros and all the deliberate and obvious misleading and deceit that's been going on for the last three years.

And by the way, nobody with brains cares what Sean/Steorn is thinking except as a curious exhibit of human aberration.

Or are you still so weird as to think that someone is going to be pulling a rabbit out of a hat before the end of the year?

Man never Is, but always To be blest:

AAARGH!!!! It's become too painful to ignore.

For a given value of "rabbit", yes. I'm sure whatever happens, it will be "swift"ly reported.

I hate limericks which don't scan too. It's just laziness since it's not difficult to manipulate the words until they do scan.

@Frank
Tin ear seems to be a common problem in modern doggerel - one sees it everywhere, including gravestones. Seems strange since a major thread of popular music has eliminated harmony and melody entirely, in favour of rhythmic text. The juniors ought to be good at it.
See you over on moletrap. This place is too cumbersome, especially on an iPhone.

I'm already there, complete with my donkey avatar. Very Happy

It just shows the power of the Internet that one can set up a Not the Nine o'clock News style forum so quickly

Thanks, Derricka. That's a nice pice of work.

Anyone know if the "mass banning" is deliberate and if so who did it and why?

It was Sean himself. He did it because he had a lucid moment.
