Any news from Steorn?

According to the "investor relations" page:
"Pending completion of the audit, the management figures for 2006 are under review".
I think the "investor relations" are not very important anymore for Steorn. The reviewed 2006 figures have been published three month ago with the CRO (Company Registration Office). They just stopped updating the Steorn webpage.

Another thing to check is the original claim:
"Because of the revolutionary nature of our claim, not only to the world of science but to the world in general, Steorn issued a challenge to the scientific community in August 2006 to test our technology and report their findings. The process of validation that has resulted from this challenge is currently underway, with results expected by the end of 2007."
That does sound very outdated. Almost vintage. Another website lost in cyberspace.
But maybe it is correct in a certain way. If there are no results, there is nothing to report.

Even better is the last statement about the licensing model:
"Further details will be made available during the first half of 2007."
???

---

The company is a corpse. Nobody cares anymore about the company marketing, the main website is no longer updated. I believe they even stopped sending angry letters at blogs using the Steorn name. Some limbs still show reflexes, like the forum that is still rebooted when the server crashes. The building could be empty, with just a person left at the reception to answer phones.

Still waiting for the final closure. Even a company as Steorn deserves a proper end, nothing worse than becoming a zombie.

---

Steorn stopped hiring people?
Funny, how there is nobody who worked for that company ever blew whistle. They must be paying their employees very well (as we say: don't shit where you eat). Can't imagine all the employees to be deluded and really believe what they claimed to have. They're supposed to be engineers and scientists (at least that's what we were told).

Or was it all family, like cousins and nephews of Sean, working there?

I expect somewhere around the end of April there will be new information on the Irish CRO website. It could be anything, maybe a major ownership shift in Steorn, maybe new capital investment, or even a bankruptcy. By then they can simply blame the global recession.

---

Edit: One of the limbs seems still to be moving, it keeps sending legal letters to protect the Steorn trademark (http://dispatchesfromthefuture.com).
Edit2: May 2008 and no news yet about the Steorn financial status. Maybe they reduced their behaviour of easy spending other peoples money.

"The Iranian nation's will to continue nuclear work has won over the will of big powers ... (and) brought them to their knees," said Ahmadinejad, to chants from the crowd of "Death to America" and "Nuclear energy is our obvious right".

Steorn has the technology to stop all of this but they refuse. That is who Shaun is. A low life.

Steorn Comment from the Steorn website...
Wow, I wish that some one would tell me this stuff; I need not have turned up to the office all that time. Good to see that JREF is reliable as ever!

Ya know what Sean F**k**u!!! You slimy piece of garbage. You scream to the public to come and watch your great discovery then pull a 180 and completely ignore the public you screamed attention from. I think you assume that once you release your tech (if it exits) would make all the criticisms go away...U are wrong. You fail (again) to realize that all of these forums are permanent. The posts from all of these sites bashing and ridiculing your inane business plan will always be here. They will always be here when the future reporters write articles about the great Steorn (or the great Steorn fraud). The articles will always have some reference to the foul actions of Steorn, and their inept ability to market this discovery, and their complete flaccid ability to endear themselves to the public. This black mark on the history of Steorn will always be there...you idiot.

Oh, look, the Iranian prez is still building nuclear weapons...I mean reactors. And you sit by and laugh, and laugh, and laugh.

Do you actually sit back and think we are eagerly awaiting the great "reveal" by Sean? That we are all like wide eyed children looking for the Christmas miracle. That we just can't keep holding our breath hoping you will grace us with your utter magnificent Orbo. You stupid stupid fool. We are not looking for your Orbo. We are however watching you.

You have to live in society like the rest of us... you need to eat at restaurants, take a train, go shopping for groceries, request services for your home. Why anyone would want to piss-off the world while still having to live in it...I have no idea.

We are however watching you.

Please, let Steorn take their time. Building a good PMM is not as easy as you might think. If it were so easy to build, wouldn't someone else already made it? See? Finding the right bearings alone is almost impossible. You need the dutch negative-friction-watchmaker type to succeed, and oh boy are those things fragile. Even the presence of a too complicated wallpaper design or tasteless furniture could damage them. Let alone bad lighting.
Their recent efforts to protect the 'Steorn' trademark is additional proof that they are a responsible company that acts in their investors interests.

Oh, by the way, if you have any questions, just ask. Steorn has set up a completely unmoderated and uncensored forum open for all people who like to discuss everything related to their claims, technology, etc..

@aber0der & Scott,

We all will do well to remember that the magnetic motor is not the primary thrust of Steorn although it seems to be an important part. The company existed and trademarked prior to the public release that they had something needing verification.

IOW, ORBO can come and go and Steorn will still remain. Neutral
