Totally off topic - but I thought some of the especially twisted egg-heads out there might enjoy this:

Very interesting for me since the scale invariance supports the concepts of Iterative Hierarchical Mechanics and turtles all the way down. Very Happy

For me the most significant line in that article was:

The fact that vortex lines in light exhibit power laws suggesting universal properties means that these lines are governed by more general laws than wave equations.

Actually, when we consider if a photon becomes pure mass at the apex of its EM cycle then its reactive state with matter will be quite different than the point at which it is pure energy. Each cycle of its frequency the magnetic and electrical components of its wave must reach a zero point relative to the peaks. At this point the photon is 100% energy and has no E or M relationship with space. However because of its oscillation the photon is really in a transitory state between energy and matter except when it is at its peaks or zero point. Consequently there is a very brief (practically instantaneous if you do the math) point along the crest of its peak oscillation that the EM expansion stops and begins to contract. Right at that stop point the photon displaces space for a given distance and appears to be dark because it is matter and as such reacts quite differently contacting a surface.

There is a complex mathematical relationship between the phase angles relative to travel, the Energy / Mass ratio, the frequency and hence the energy level as well as the incident angle of the photon vector relative to the surface. The atoms that the light react with play a big part as well in what the photon becomes as it makes its transistion from the speed of light to become a subatomic particle. Depending on its energy level and the phasing it may become a proton, or neutron, electron, positron or even have the energy spllit to become two or more particles.

Conversely, when we generate photons just the opposite happens. In the laser LED for instance. We have a steady stream of photons from a junction where the electrons are forced into a lower orbit and we imagine that somehow the atom gives of energy in the form of a photon. But actually, we have split the electron during its energy phase into two parts of energy where some exits at a frequency relative to its energy and the other falls into a lower orbit from lower energy and also lower mass. Now you may be thinking, electrons are not photons, but all atomic matter is the same stuff just configured differently. Electrons have interferrence patterns just like photons. So they too are oscillating between pure energy and mass. Not all oscillations are sinusoidal.

These aren't even the basics. We haven't even touched entaglement, pairing, interdimensional resonance, vortices or static matter. These oscillations never stop and that is why we have brownian characteristics all the way down to zero point. The protons, neutrons and their parasitic particles all oscillate at the frequency relative to their energy / mass ratio. Well that all probably exploded your current thoughts on the matter and it will be well over 30 years before anyone accepts it. But there it is. Cool
