Lot 667, a chandelier in pieces. Some of you may recall the strange affair of 2006, a mystery never fully explained. The workshops have repaired it and wired parts of it with the new electric light. Let us frighten away the ghosts of so many years with a little illumination.

Gentlemen.

I've just telephoned the Waterways Visitor Centre Dublin (+353 1 677 7510). I asked the nice chap who answered whether Steorn were doing a demo there this week.

He replied that they were and that it starts tomorrow (Tuesday). It's open from 10:00am to invited guests, and from 1pm to members of the public!

Well, Trim, looks like you win -- you, er, called it first. It's a hollow victory, unfortunately.

Well at least I got the right week, but why on earth must they start on Tuesday instead of a Monday? Oh well just a half a banana for me then.

You could take it as "Price-is-Right" victory -- You're the closest without going over.

Be sure to open that banana the right way: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCv4c7dFzVw

I've been following this from the very beginning and would be amazed (like everyone else) if it's true - but I really hope it is.

I got chucked off the steorn forum during the very "First great purge" and never re-signed up, although I'd look in from time to time to watch the lunacy Very Happy

Every now and then since, I'd mail steorn to try to get onto/into the SKBD or scoobidoo, as it has become known in my head, to no avail (or reply). Obviously I am not worthy.

I am half expecting to be disappointed but the small child in me wants this for christmas!

I hope you've been right all along mr. cat

digits twisted - it won't be too drawn out!

catchya later

Some web presentation is launched, just to be able to tell "we launched (something) before the end of 2009". Craig 007 claims victory. It will announce the next steps that will be taken in 2010 in the process of commercialising Orbo. At first the 'skeptical believers' will rebel, but after few days and the convincing comments of Sean they will rejoin the herd. A demo is planned for Q2 2010. It will be live televised from Mexcio City together with the launch of the new Orbo2000 website for the 2000 most dedicated tinkers. After some 'incident' with 'foreign security agents' the live demo is cancelled, but the website is still launched. Steorn starts selling magnets and batteries to be used in building test-rigs by the Orbo2000 believers. By the end of 2010 Steorn posts a small profit, the first ever. They also start selling T-shirts, parfume and underwear in the 'Orbo' line.

Almost right.
All the demo is ment for is helping to launch the next round of SKDB starting first of Februari 2010. The next step in commercialising!
Just 419 Euro per year -> even better than selling T-shirts!

Right so far, save the date. The rest is still in the future.

I want to know how they're going to manage this bit. That battery is going to take some serious explaining. As others have pointed out, the thing looks like an electric motor. I could build something that looks just like this demo in an afternoon. (It wouldn't, of course, be overunity.)

If Sean expects anyone to plunk down 419 He's got to show something more convincing -- like the thing from the July 2007 demo.
